What Are Your Rights as a Data Subject?
Under Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), data subjects have the right to:
- Learn whether personal data is being processed.
- Request information if their personal data has been processed.
- Learn the purpose of processing personal data and whether it is used appropriately.
- Know the third parties to whom personal data is transferred, domestically or abroad.
- Request correction of personal data if it is inaccurate or incomplete and request that this correction be communicated to third parties to whom the data has been transferred.
- Request the deletion or destruction of personal data if the reasons for its processing no longer exist, and have this communicated to third parties who have received the data.
- Object to the processing of personal data exclusively through automated systems leading to an adverse result for the individual.
- Request compensation for damages incurred due to the unlawful processing of personal data.
You can submit your requests related to the rights mentioned above by filling out the “Relevant Person Application Form,” which can be accessed via a link, and send it to our CLINIC. Your request will be processed within 30 days, and you will be notified of the response. In general, requests are handled free of charge, but if the action requires costs, a fee may be charged in accordance with the “Regulation on the Procedures and Principles for Application to the Data Controller.” If the response to the request is provided in writing, no fee will be charged for the first 10 pages, but 1 TL per page may be charged for additional pages. If the response is provided in a digital medium (e.g., CD, flash drive), the fee will not exceed the cost of the medium.
